On The Bench

Well as far as running is concerned

I think I am going to have to take at least 7-10 days off running due to a bruised heel, its been niggling me on and off since Hartlepool Triathlon but its now at the point where the pain is at a level I struggle to put weight on the morning after a run.

A bruised heel is when the heel bone (calcaneus) which is protected by a pad of fat is subject to repeated pounding. This can cause the fat pad to be pushed up the side of the heel leaving less of a protective layer causing heel pain.

So I’m not a happy chappy

Lost out on a week or so's blogging - didn't know about the heel injury. Hope it won't stop you coming to Manchester next weekend though..?!!

Oh and also... make sure you hand the bench back to Pixie when you've finished.

will just be nice to the bench won't you then stick it in the store cupboard when you've finished
or you can leave it about for teh abingdon runners to collapse on!
